Thankful

Thankful Thursday

I am thankful for my faith. This past month has been oh so rough for me. One thing I have leaned on more now than ever has been my faith.

Many of you may think that this should be a given. I should already lean on my faith to guide me through my battles. This was actually a true statement about 5 years ago. I was a firm believer and trusted God through all things. Then I lost my Mom. She was the center of my relationship with God. When she passed away, my faith passed with her. I questioned Him and all things created.

It wasn’t until a little over a year ago that I actually embraced my faith and religion again. Now, things around me are in a knot. And the one solid thing that I have that gives me complete comfort is my faith.

A few months ago, before this storm, I received a message that the time would come that I would need to turn to God and trust him. When I received this message, I was happy and everything around me was looking positive. I did not forecast this storm I am in now; however, I know that I am covered.

I am thankful that I am able to cast away doubts and clearly see that I do have a guide through this. It will not last forever and I will be much stronger when this passes.

I am thankful that despite the years that I have spent ignoring my faith and doubting Him, God has continued to guide me. Through this storm, he is offering me solace. For this, I am greatly thankful.

What do you do to help you through challenging times?

  1. When I am going through I love to turn my music up to 100 and clean my house… It helps me to re-center & re-focus ….And since its gospel music I can pour my heart out and sing as loud as I want as I cry out to the Lord 🙌🏾🙏🏾🎵😘
