Thankful

Thankful Thursday

A few weeks ago, I went to a hair salon to have my hair conditioned and my ends clipped. After giving birth to Nori, my postpartum hair loss has been extreme. My hair feels and looks so much different than it looked before. So at the hair salon, the tech washed and conditioned my hair. She also cut TWO INCHES of my hair. Even though I agreed to just a half inch. Since then, I have been wearing my hair in two strand twists to avoid manipulating my hair and encourage faster growth.

Yesterday, I stopped by a restaurant to pick up some bubble tea. A young lady came in to the restaurant and complimented me on my hair. I initially didn’t think she was talking to me since I’m still a little sour about my short hair. When she repeated herself, I couldn’t stop myself from breaking the biggest smile. I, of course, thanked her. She genuinely touched me at a time when I needed it. I am thankful for her kind spirit and the courage it took to compliment a stranger.

I’m a little sensitive about my hair these days! What’s one thing you are thankful for this week?

  1. I am thankful for the power of family. I just helped my dad after his surgery for a week and I absolutely loved every bit of it. Not once did I feel as though I was over it. My love and compassion was so sincere with every task. I love that man and he will always have a special place im my heart 😘

  2. Today I am thankful for being a mother. My kids drive me crazy daily, but the sweetest, smallest things that they do make me glad to be their mother.

Love the blog by the way! I’m proud of you!
